Why is the Glock G22 Gen3 so popular in Australia? 

The Double Bell G22 Gen3 Glock is our best-selling gel blaster pistol as the G22 Gen3 is the current Active Service Firearm for Queensland Police and is also used by Queensland Corrections & Australian Border Force Maritime Officers.

As a direct result it’s become an extremely popular Pop Culture pistol amongst players & collectors alike. In particular for our customers who are serving or Ex-Police Officers, Queensland Corrections Officers and ABF officers.

What are the differences between the G17 & G22?

The Glock G22 is built on the famous & reliable G17 platform. The key differential is the G17 is chambered for 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition. The only differences are the barrel & magazine, exterior wise they’re the exact same dimensions which means any G17 external accessories such as holsters, flashlights, lasers, red dot mounts and compensators can be used for the G22.

Whereas the G22 is chambered for .40 Caliber ammunition which has a longer casing and heavier projectile. Apart from this, they’re identical to the G17 in every way apart from the Ammunition calibre depicted as .40 calIber or 9x19mm on the slide. Visually they’re almost identical. The .40 translates from Imperial measurements to 10mm in metric. So, it has a larger bore diameter. However, actual .40 caliber has a shorter casing than ammunition classified as 10mm.
