• Safety: Ambidextrous Slide Safety - when the safety is on, the trigger will 'free play' even if it is loaded with a gel in the chamber. This is a very different characteristic compared with a 1911 or 2011 Colt pistol - This is not a fault, it's meant to be this way
• Double Action: Yes the Beretta is a double action pistol, this means as the trigger is pulled, it will manually cock your hammer and fire a round, ready from safe mode (with a gel in the chamber) - when the pistol is fired, it becomes 'Single Action', for the shots fired after your first shot, until empty, or placed on safe.
