This is one of the best Double Bell 1911 platforms we’ve seen & we’re impressed! With excellent build quality, finish & full aluminium construction, this is very well priced for the quality you get. This pistol has seen active service with the US Government from 1941 to the mid 1980s. This is the same version used in both World War I, World War II & the Vietnam War. The US Colt Government is an iconic sidearm & combat proven in numerous armed conflicts. It was also standard issue for the US Federal Bureau of Investigation who until this time still used .38 special revolvers. The FBI used both the Colt 1911 & the Thompson Sub-Machine Gun once officially adopted as they share the same .45 caliber ammunition & could standardise the ammunition required for its active duty Special Agents.
